Not Enough Time In The Day

I have so many projects and things that I want to do, but there just isn't enough time in the day. Especially when I am a stay at home mom and just can feel the dirty dishes and dirty laundry piles growing bigger and bigger as I type! Seriously, I hate doing both of those jobs, but they are never ending! Anyways! I did get three dresses for dress a girl around the world sewn up. Here are the finished projects.

I painted some hearts on this one to make it pretty.

This is my favorite pattern! Which just happened to be a sheet that I have used for various other sewing projects.

This is a longer version with a pocket (which I had never done before).
I also had never sewn with elastic and bias fabric. Which took some getting used to,
but I am a pro now! *ya right!* I am thinking of adding a little note to each one saying my name and where I live and some nice words.

All I have to do is send them out.Which is something that I am always such a procrastinator about! Maybe it is because I hate standing in line at the post office with two crazy boys who think it is a jungle gym in there! I also have some presents to send out so maybe I just need to get on that!

I have been so inspired by the blog CensationalGirl.com that I went out and bought spray paint, primer, and stain to get my paint on! I spray painted a small wine rack yellow that was a previous blah black color. *sorry no pics, I was bad about that*. I bought spray paint primer in white, put that on first and then spray painted with the yellow. It looks so cute! I also was given a kennel by a friend and just wanted to give it another coat of black spray paint to freshen it up. It looks like brand new! All I have to do is put it together.
I also bought a wood stain in purple (per B's request since that is his favorite color). We have a bench that was sitting in our garage for a year that my husband put together from scratch. It was just bare wood and I wanted to get going on staining it before another year passed. After cleaning out my garage on one of the beautiful days we had this past week, I finally got through the junk surrounding the bench and started the stain. I have one coat on and will put one more on soon. Then top with a clear gloss stain and I am done. But like I mentioned before, there is only so much time in the day!
*sigh* Someday I will get all of the projects I have half started done!

Got any good projects on your end? Let me know how they are going!

THINK SPRING!!
