A Poem In Remembrance

Close to me

Close to me

As close to me as you will ever be

You face is blurry in my mind

Photos are all that is left behind

Everyday I feel you near

In a smile,

In a joke, 

Or through my tears

You had enough life in you to fill the sky

You left too soon

I will never understand why

Close to me

As you will ever be

Memories are all that are left for me
