Fun Summer!

I know you guys have been patiently awaiting a new post from this funky chicken. Well, wait no longer! I am really going to try to get back on track with posting more.

We have had a busy summer of traveling to Michigan, being beach bums, going on our annual canoe trip, gardening and just doing things as a family. And it has been a great, but fast, summer!

Both the boys will be in school ALL DAY this year. Everyone keeps asking me "What will you do with all your time?" My usual answer is "Take naps." But in reality I will probably just be cleaning, sewing, and turning up whatever music I want to play as loud as I can and having a dance party throughout my whole house. Which sounds positively delightful to me!

There have been a couple changes with things that I had devoted myself to. For instance, I shut down Booth 9 that was at Yesterdays Treasures. It was a good 8 months while it lasted and I may do it in the past, but I just wasn't into it as much as I had been. It is still such a great place to go and find awesome treasures! I will miss the previous owners, but after being for sale for 4 years it has some super nice owners. Go and check it out and let me know what treasures you find.

My crafting and sewing had a bit of a hault throughout the summer. I am totally new to the selling side of crafting and I was a bit dissapointed with the efforts that I put into it. So I just stopped creating for awhile. I realized that yes, selling my handmade items is cool and all, but I really enjoy giving gifts to people more. I wasn't really doing it for the money. More for the joy of others liking my items and taking them home with them. Besides when you buy from me, I just end up buying more items to create with. So you are contributing to my creativeness. And what's better than that?? Nothing! :)

In the end, I had a fun summer of being with the boys and moving onto different levels in my creative and personal life. I vow to be on here more and put more posts up. I know you are sooo excited for it! :)
